beautiful place to go at sunset , views and some nice hills
This was a really nice large natural place to walk. There are lots of trail options. The one listed here on all trails starts way out on the main road at the first parking lot and then you walk in a good half a mile before you reach the main trails. You can also drive further in to the park and there are parking lots closer to the trail heads. Once you’re there the main listed trail is no dogs, but the trails that go into the hills closer to the bay allow dogs on leash. You have options to walk on flat ground, or hike up steeper terrain. Everything is well manicured and there’s a lot of nature to enjoy. I would recommend.
This is a decent walk, but not a challenging hike. Part of our trail was closed off which made us walk closer to the water's edge which was horrible due to the putrid stench of fecal matter in the water. Of all of my walks/hikes, this is the first one that I wouodnt do again.
I’ve done the Bayview/Red Hill trail several times but I enjoyed seeing another part of the park. Chochenyo and Bayview are flat; I got to see lots of birds in the marsh. Then when you trek up Bayhill there are lots and lots of goats (and their droppings). Overall it’s a great park - with no shade and the beginning/end is paved.
good hike lots of people do to prevent many out there with over the hills about 3 MI. lots of pavement on the trail so you have to undo bra a little bit but good quick bite
Probably some of the best views for miles. Some fairly steep parts but not too hard of a hike.
Great trail with a beautiful peak and a ton of birds and butterflies!! A little over 3mi in the main trail was closed but a smaller trail will switchback down the hill to meet with the outlined train again. Definitely worth the views.
