Fun trail with the first half through residential area. Opens up after with shaded paths and then to the waterfall. Some ropes are there but it becomes steep afterwards.

Take I - 10 freeway west to the PCH. Head towards Malibu and make a right turn onto Winding Way. Park in the lot and follow the trail signs. There is a $8 fee for parking in the lot. The very beginning of this trail may be on private property.

Nice shady trail, moderate to easy with some tricky (slippery) areas and large rocks to scale (if you want to get the views). Our 20 lb jack russell loves this trail, but less athletic pups may have some trouble especially with the larger rocks.

The first falls is an easy hike. The second falls thou is harder than I expected. To reach the second falls, you need to hike further up, and it is not a safe hike ( IT IS NOT SAFE, I repeat).

up to the first waterfall is very easy to walkthrough, with rolling hills through the residential area. The second waterfall is found by using the path on the right side of the road, not the left with all the rocks. While it is steep, it's a lot of fun to get to. Both waterfalls are more like little streams but they're a beautiful sight. It wasn't crowded around 5pm on a Tuesday and was able to enjoy the second waterfall peacefully.

Great trail, good for families. 1st water fall about 1.5 miles in. Not much water, but it was a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Parking off of pch.

Both falls are beautiful- not a lot of water coming down from either of them, but still a nice trail. I would not recommend doing the scramble up to the second fall unless you have excellent hiking boots. It’s super steep and easy to fall due to loose rocks. Most people were wearing masks and respectful with social distancing.

Really cool easy trail. Highly recommend if you are in for a little climbing to the second falls! Amidst what you may read or hear, it’s worth it! The only real precaution, the climb up to the second fall is very slippery and can get a little sketchy but everywhere it gets really tough there is a rope to help and or someone who is willing to help! So bring good shoes and your camera :) We only recorded the way up which was actually done and can be done in less time but we off trailed a few times and recorded all the way up to the second falls Enjoy

Eh it was Ok, We did a quick Hike on a sunny hot day and ran the whole way back. The reason I gave it 3 stars was bc it was pretty short, crowded early with a bunch of people who didn’t have masks [Like I get its Hot but nnNO #Bye] & the heat dried up the falls which for some reason smelled like Sewer Expired Ass water! No joke. There was barely a tiny trickle.

Beautiful trail! Wildflowers and an AMAZING waterfall at the end. Bring lots of water and don’t be scared of getting dirty/dusty.

Easy/moderate trail, two water falls, first one is good, second is way better. Although short, Its tough to get up to the second one, steep and loose footing

This trail is overrated. We went there at 8AM on a Sunday and it was packed—we had to park a few blocks down, and narrowly avoided getting a parking ticket. In order to get to the trailhead itself, you have to walk through a residential area for 15-30 minutes, with little to no scenery besides some very fancy houses and occasional glimpses of the ocean. Once we got on the trail, there were a lot of people, most of them in large groups and not wearing any face masks. The scenery of the trail was alright (Malibu has better hikes to offer), but it was hard to enjoy because of the large crowd. The trail also seemed to be heavily used by horses, as there were piles of excrement strewn throughout the path. As of 6/28/2020, the waterfall was still there, but very small. The waterfall was a highlight, but there were dozens of other people talking and playing music, so if you want to enjoy the waterfall peacefully, make sure to go at a less busier time. The trail does have a few offshoots, but they are all overgrown and littered with trash. We came out of the trail at around 9:30, and saw a ton of people coming in, so it’s definitely a bad idea to go then. Overall, I would not recommend this trail if you are looking for a peaceful excursion into nature, but if you are able to come very early and on a weekday, it might be worth your time. Also, if you are going, make sure to follow the directions listed on AllTrails, as the google maps location will lead you on a 30 minute detour with no access to the trail.

Get there early, sunrise. Make your way to the upper falls, its a bit of a scramble. The scramble also separates you from the crowds. Follow me on Instagram @nathan_vanengen for a video of this falls and more amazing trails in the southwest :)

Trail is very well kept, I was there Saturday afternoon. Parking is very small so park on PCH. Do not follow google maps or it will take you all the way up through another canyon and once you are at the top there is a sign that reads: turn back to PCH towards WINDING WAY - no waterfall access. Thankfully a kind neighbor redirected us and said it had been going on all morning, to go back and take PCH north about two more miles and we would find it. The first mile is through the neighborhood before you hit the trail. Very nice views! The trail is clean and kids friendly. Not a lot of people to be a sat. We made it to the first waterfall which had very little water, attempted to do the second one through the right side and it was a total failure. You should have good trekking shoes to attempt this, very dangerous and not for kids. You literally cause an avalanche in every step. Do not climb up behind someone too close to you ir you might get hit by rocks. We made it half way up through a rope that is on the side but it just kept getting tougher... People kept saying that we were close already but we never heard water so we decided to get down and just come back with the right type of shoes and ready to try again! Its a good hike and great views of the ocean.

This trail is very heavy traffic. You really need to walk if you do not want to stay close with more people behind you. The trail is beautiful but with out many people. I gave two stars because many people plus there the half of the trail is in residential area. The soil is very loose and dusty. The fist waterfall is very easy, However i couldn’t make the second waterfall because i took a difficult trail. I heard a person who said to take left is easier but i took a right side. Just to first waterfall is easy for kids and dog friendly but second is for experience people and not for kids. Second is difficult. I saw many dog’s pop bags left in a residential area and not in the trash. There is a trash. My opinion put the dog pop bags inside of trash can. I post a picture what i saw. The parking is small and expensive 8 dollars. You can park you car at street but cars pass very fast you have to be cautious. There is a portable restroom in parking. You can see a beautiful houses in the way. It is easy trail until first waterfall.
