Great trail! No leash rules for dogs which was awesome. We made sure to hold them or have them sit next to us when bikers were passing. There's a river close by the trail when walking so you can easily hop over to the water to enjoy the river at any point. Only saw 6-8 people or so on bikes, other than that we had the whole trail to ourselves!

Sunday jog with my dog. Nice flat trail with mix of shade and sun, dirt single trail and gravel/rock. This year is very dry and so we turned around early as my dog needs a water / wading break every half mile or so, and many of the small creek beds were completely dry. Does follow along road for entire trail so you do hear/see cars go by but at a good distance and not too bothersome.

the trail is not where AllTrails directs. the trail has been redone as part of a project. there’s now an impassable creek where AllTrails’ red line appears.

Amazing in winter for hiking in snow. There were also not many cars driving along the road so I had complete quiet most of the time, hearing only the snow crunch under my feet. But I can imagine that in summer, it’s gonna be worse. It’s a really really easy trail; it was nice with all the snow but it’ll be just really a stroll without it.

Rather easy hike if you happen to be in the area. Didn’t think that the traffic noise would bother me, but it did distract from the hike. There has to be better places in the area.

This is a great trail if you’re looking for something easy. If you want something that is more strenuous, look elsewhere. It’s far enough back that you get the sense of seclusion minus a few cars that pass by on the road. It seems the trail has been completed a bit since this trail was entered in AllTrails. It goes further now that what the map shows. I believe you can actually go to Highway 89 and then on the Prosser. We turned back because we were done battling the ice.

Not enough signage and the trail split at several points, making things confusing. Parking is on the left when you're headed up the road, it's easy to miss as there isn't a sign. You definitely hear the road throughout the whole hike which is annoying when you're trying to get out in 'nature.' A lot of bees, but we encountered that in all of the Truckee/Donner areas we visited.

Nice, mostly level walk through the woods and over the creek on small bridges. You can hear the road noise from Alder Creek Rd. For most of the hike.

Fun, low impact hike with my kids. They enjoyed the bridges and didn't get so tired that I had to carry them both.

I only came across on MBer after I hit the turnaround. Gorgeous hike along a small creek. Would definitely do it again

First adventure out with our new born. Nice and easy trail with plenty of snow. Lots of people but we weren't looking for solitude.

Close to my work and a local favorite. Melts early and has good terrain. Limited options for exploration but trail is solid and fun to ride. Some singletrack and lots of double. Lot of riders, hikers and dogs frequent trail.
