This hike was just ok. Nothing too special. It was pretty hard to navigate the trail, except for the portions that were actually trails. There's a lot of going off road and the trail path given on AllTrails actually isn't accurate about a mile into the hike. The off-trail parts of the hike are overgrown and slippery due to the foliage that's littered on the path so make sure to bring some shoes with some good grip. There's plenty of parking which is a plus but it's hard to understand where the starting point of the hike actually is at. If you don't mind exploring and making your own path then go ahead and try this hike out but you're honestly better of trying another more established hiking trail.

Nice trail to get nice views of the city and surrounding area. Can get overcrowded at times!

Nice, open trail. I went on a Tuesday 6/23 around 4pm. it was more so a walk rather than hike. It was semi busy, crossed paths with ppl during most of the trail. some ppl wore masks, some didn't and everyone seemed to have a dog with them on this trail. I'd recommend it if you want to get in on a quick outdoor session. There are no to die views on this trail.

A walk thru the park that is a little short on views except for a nice one of downtown and the park itself. Good for dog walking or trail running. A better nearby trail that is more scenic is the Elysian Park West Loop Trail.

Even though you're right in the middle of the city, this is a great place to get away. To the south, beautiful skyline views tease the eyes and in the center recides the elegant Grace E. Simons Lodge. Enjoy the magnificent eucalyptus trees as you work your way to the north end of the park to be tintalated with panoramas of the San Gabriel Mountains.
