A trail that takes you through canyon and up to Moro ridge, with sweeping coastal views. The trail begins and ends at the El Moro Visitor Center. This loop gives you a tour of the El Moro Canyon, then climbs over 800' in elevation to the ridge line, where you'll enjoy some of the best coastline views in the park. Parking Fee: $15
Great trail and beautiful scenery. Only downside is there are so many trails to choose from that you aren't sure which you are on which is kind of an adventure in itself. Would recommend/ do this hike again.
The view when you reach the highest peak is what you go here for; the view of the ocean and the hills covered in yellow flowers in the spring time is breathtaking. Aside from that I felt is was a rather boring trail. You only have a view of the ocean for a small portion of the trail. However, once the trail is completed there is a tunnel that goes under the street and spits you out on the beach; I take off my shoes and walk with my toes in the water the short distance back to the other parking lot. The trail is 3 stars the overall experience is 4 stars.
This is a beautiful and well-maintained trail. I did it for 6K event in 47 minutes so a little crowded and dusty at the beginning. However, the views are amazing and you can run without worrying too much about rocks and pot holes Beautiful day!
