A trail that takes you through canyon and up to Moro ridge, with sweeping coastal views. The trail begins and ends at the El Moro Visitor Center. This loop gives you a tour of the El Moro Canyon, then climbs over 800' in elevation to the ridge line, where you'll enjoy some of the best coastline views in the park. Parking Fee: $15

decent easy trail not a lot to see until you get to the ridge, however note the variety of vegetation which is really cool on the trail

Great hike today! Pay attention to which trail you want to hike. I planned on a 5 mile... I either missed a turn or took the wrong trail because I ended doing a 10.5 mile hike lol Great inclines for a great workout. Remember the sunscreen!! Oh and don’t forget to pay your parking, many tickets on windshields.

Probably one of the most scenic trails I’ve hiked in SoCal. The view is amazing for the first mile or so, and on the way back if you take a bit detour and take Pole’s Trail, you’ll have great view for the last 1-mile too (tho a bit harder with the incline). Overall an easy, chill, beautiful afternoon hike.

Great local hike. If you do the full nine mile loop you will pass three different campsites.

Gorgeous views from the top of the ridge, but man, climbing that monster hill was tough!

Great hike. Moderately traveled with some steep ascents/descents, this hike affords spectacular views of Newport and Laguna Beaches. There’s adequate parking, but I’d recommend getting there early as the lot does fill up quickly.

My favorite hike with the best views. Good work out and beach access. Make a quick right after the bridge for a incline work out right away.

Hundreds of rabbits, a couple of road runners and pheasants. Only one long incline, but beautiful views.

Great trail. Only ran into one snake! Lots of people though, and plenty of bikers

The trail was less rugged than I was expecting, but all the inclines made for a challengingly fun hike. Plus, we got to see various kinds of wildlife including a rat snake despite the amount of people hiking the trail.

Beautiful coastal trail with lots of ocean views and flowers.. I went in the afternoon when their were fewer people and temps got cooler. Saw lots of rabbits, birds, and roadrunners. The trail is pretty flat for the first mile then gets steeper. A fit hiker should be able to do this easily, but it may be challenging for beginners.

Extremely hot and no shade even at 67 degrees. Trucks driving by, kicking up dust due to the repairs being worked on the trails right now. Bring a bandana to cover your nose and mouth. Many trails overrun by invasive yellow mustard plants. I miss the California sage brush and other native plants. For me these trails are ruined, they were much more beautiful in the past before the erosion from winter rains.

Easy but a bit strenuous. Beautiful views! I think it took me about 2 hours with lots of photos along the way. Bathroom and drinking fountain at trail head.
