Loved El Matador Beach. It’s truly beautiful. Went just before the new year in December and there was a thick marine layer into the afternoon. Didn’t make it all the way up the beach because I got cold but will go again better prepared. Like many beaches along the Pacific it could benefit from more frequent clean up efforts. Plan to get your feet wet.

Be ready to get wet! It was high tide and the waves were strong but totally worth it. Rock formations that are fun to climb. Will definitely go back soon

Not a hike unless you can't the few hundred feet going down the mountainside to get to the beach a hike... Very beautiful though. It was worth setting some time aside to go and visit! I love the rock formations right on the beachside!

Very beautiful! Not really a hike... just a good place to walk around. Lots of sandfleas, but well worth the views... you can crawl through some little caves but don't do it in between low and high tides or you'll get stuck on the other side!

Since its a beach it's not exactly a hike, but this is an absolutely beautiful place to spend a few hours wandering around along the coast. Amazing rock formations and some tide pools. Watched the sunset and relaxed. Highly recommended!
