Begin at the Missouri Flat Bridge and hike to Downtown Placerville and back.

We were impressed with this count-maintained walking path for the time we had.
The sun shined through the foothill oaks, with a gentle breeze. The trail led us to a beautiful sun-bathed meadow surrounded by digger pines, oaks and chaparral shrubs.
Partial-shade in mid-day.
We were staying in Apple Hill for a hiking trip and decided to try this trail when we headed back through Placerville.
Negatives: the loud highway for the first 10 minutes of walking. But this is also a positive as it is easy, quick parking.

Positives: long. You can go as far as you want and still have more to explore. Flat for people needing an easy path. Paved and well maintained. Stretching and workout stations throughout the path. This is a perfect trail for handicap ADA needs. Great for families, elderly and joggers.

If we had more time we would have walked all the way to Placerville and further, but only did a mile and a half out

Overall this is a good locals walking spot and we would like to try the other spot next time.
