HikingGreat!

The trail was a wonderful pace for children and people who would like to ease in to exploring nature. It had so many off shot trails that led to wonderful parts of local nature.

A little bumpy for the stroller but we made it work. A jogging stroller would do great! We came upon a huge group of deer it was such a treat to stay awhile and watch them. We saw some birds we havent seen before, heard a woodpecker but couldnt find him. Ended our walk at the river, then came back. A great trail for a family day! All the trails were clearly marked, but without a paper map we weren't quite sure where we were going. But it's small enough you dont feel panicked if you get lost. I was able to pull up a map on my phone while out there just for fun.

I hope you don't get lost! It wasn't too bad up until till the river, but finding the continuing trail back was a Major Chore! It was beautiful, but finding my way back was frightening, being that there were rattle snake posting throughout! I recommend thay you turn around at the river and go back on the path you took in. Its too bad that I paid $5.00 to get into the Ancel Hoffman park and experience such a poorly maintained trail. I Do Not recommend this trail, despite its beauty and wildlife!

WalkingGreat!

Remember you’re on a working horse trail. Heads up for horses, it’s their trail. Get out of the way for running horses. Otherwise a beautiful park that looks like a country club landed along the river. Large oaks, coyotes, turkeys, Canadian geese, black squirrels and tons of birds. Paved bike trail suitable for young kids.

I didn’t take the trail because no dogs were allowed. But there is horse poop everywhere. Makes no sense. We walked the road to the river. The river was nice, but more horse poop.

This was our first (and certainly not our last) visit to the area. These trails are very easy to walk and fun to do with children in tow. Be sure and walk over to the river. It’s beautiful to photograph. Just be sure to watch your footing on the rocks leading to the river. They are easy to stumble over if you’re not careful.

Easy trail, see deer and turkeys. Deer allow you close distance. Very pretty flowers, lots of colorful fungi on branches and stumps in rainy seasons. This is a great spot for Nature Photography.

lovely little network of trails with interpretive signs. You will see a variety of wildlife and if you're there in the spring, a great display of wildflowers. Trails are unpaved and no dogs are allowed.

I would recommend this trail to families. Beautiful entrance at the Nature Center that leads to several river entrances! Less than 2 miles is a easy nature filled trip.

Great for kids. Even with the nature center closed there were still plenty of educational plaques. We saw deer, rabbits, hummingbirds, butterflies, squirrels, geese, and observed ant hills. Bring rafting shoes if you have them! My boys could have waded and tossed rocks into the water all day if we could!

I went later in the summer so everything was dead and brown. It's a nice trail near the river with some good spots to relax and chill. I'll have to try earlier in the spring and see if it's much prettier.
