Loved the trail. It was pretty busy on a Saturday morning. Also-- FYI it is about a half mile to get back to the front from where the "trail" ends..so realistically you're looking at 4 miles total.

Lots of variety of scenery on this trail. Poison oak was hard to avoid on the narrow trails the second half of the hike. Lots of shade.

Go right first next time so the Phillips loop is on the way back. It’s a nice uphill one.

Lots of people and plenty of poison oak but still a pretty trail with lots of pretty redwood in the middle.

Pretty moderate trail. Very muddy/squishy today and several downed trees that you have to go over/around. Bring poles for the muddy declines!

My partner and I took this stroll with our small pup and it was wonderful! Dogs are allowed off-leash in this route. There was a freshly hung tree swing in a clearing. There were some old wash out points along the trail, but easy to maneuver around. Lots of wildlife out and about, and flowers popping all over.

Good hike. Was a nice comfortable distance. It's about half open space and half forest. Some good views and benches too.

First to Review

We called it the perfect hike at 6pm after work. Took about 1:15 - easy walk until you hit Tres Sendas, then a nice bit of vertical through Tres Sendas to French - then you're happy when you hit West Ridge and a flat hoof back to the Skyline gate. Perfect if you're short on time and want to get in some wooded vertical. Be careful not to go too early or too late if you don't like hiking in the dark, as Tres Sendas and French are deeply wooded and much darker than East and West Ridge and even Stream.
