Short sweet hike with great views of the valleys below. Heavy fog once I reached the peak- couldn’t see anything :,(

We left for Eagle View from the Crescent Meadow lot. You take a right from the parking area and follow the signs for High Sierra Trail. The trail was extremely well maintained and made for an easy hike. The view at the end was beautiful and no crowds to deal with. We were very happy that we chose this hike and it didn’t even take that long.

Nice hike through the forest which is beautiful with ferns and sequoias (and 1 black bear). But the view at the end of the trail is absolutely awesome! The Sierra Mountains are amazing! Highly recommend this easy, beautiful trail!

Was meant to have gone beyond this on a backpacking trip on the HST but injured my ankle the day before so the best I could do was hobble up the first mile of the trail. Well worth the hobbling-- what a view!

Such a wonderful trail, so many trees, it was mesmerizing. Went to Eagle View, don’t miss it! People stays close to the parking lots and paved path, as soon as you take the trails, you are alone. One of the most beautiful trail to see big trees. Take the repellent with you, the bugs are out, not overwhelming but buzzing around.

I completed this hike in January and the views were amazing. The snow covered caps in the distant were beautiful and the hike up along the sequoias was very relaxing. The trail was not crowded at all (being January) so that was a nice surprise. I would definitely recommend this trail!

Took this on the way to camp on the High Sierra Trail--this is actually just a stop on the longer trail. Views were great here on a clear day (our hike in was hazier and not as lovely), and it's probably worth the stop if you are exploring Sequoia and want to step away from the actual Sequoia trees. This takes you along an exposed view of the valley after walking through some of the trees and covered trail near the Crescent Meadow parking area. There are quite a few things to do in this area, although we were camping overnight and just kept on backpacking past Eagle's View. You won't need anything to get there, since it's about 0.6 miles. It may not be good with kids since there is no railing.

An easy hike to get to Eagle View, which is stunning; the snow covered mountain peaks off in the distance and the valley below are a beautiful panorama. The sequoias along the way of the quiet, peaceful walk are awesome, too!

I absolutely loved this trail. The views are stunning and barely any people on the trail. Seeing a hawk soar across the open space while looking at the Great Western Divide has become one of my favorite Sequoia moments. We were so tempted to just keep going on the High Sierra Trail and see all it has to offer. Definitely coming back to this trail and this spectacular view.

It's alright, did this along with much more on the high sierra trail. It was nice to view this just before sunset, but if you are hiking the whole thing and start before sunset, don't stop there as you will find other good view point

The views of the high Sierra from this point are absolutely breathtaking.

For some reason the crowds at Crescent Meadow don't seem to come out this way, which is a terrific thing... The view is better along this trail than from Moro Rock and you don't have the guard rails and crowds. Another plus is that you can extend this hike many miles out past Eagle View on the High Sierra Trail without adding a lot of elevation change. The Sequoia Trees at the beginning are also quite nice since you can get up close and personal.
