Trail can be difficult to follow at times. There is one section that is pretty steep. Great miners home at the end. One main mine and a partial mine on the hike.

Short distance-but gets steep with loose rocks. Lost GPS connectivity so ended up getting sidetracked a few times. Finally found the old miner cabin (nice payoff) but it is easy to get disoriented without GPS guidance. More challenging than other similarly rated trails.

This was a difficult trail to follow, the gps from All Trails was excellent. Worth the effort!

Follow the cairns and you’ll be okay! Definitely download the map beforehand and check it periodically as well, especially if you don’t see any cairns for awhile. Poles would be super helpful, very rocky/uneven terrain for a good portion of this hike.

7 hells. This is hard going in either direction but highly recommend going clockwise. You need to follow your GPS the entire time and trust it.

Nice hike. The miner "cabin" was pretty interesting. As others have mentioned a section of the trail is easy to loose at times, having the Alltrails map down loaded was helpful. The section with elevation is a little steep, poles would be helpful going down. Not much shade on this trail so go early and bring lots of water. I went 4/27 and there was a lot of wild flowers and cactus blooms.

Very fun trail, especially if you like climbing around large rocks. On the main ascent, the path that follow the left ridge is moderate. If your up for a little more of a challenge take the middle trail up directly through the boulders.

Awesome trail that culminates in a very rewarding and well preserved cabin. It was one of the tougher trails I have done (I'm a pretty out of shape 40ish guy), but my wife, 10 year old son and I made it just fine by taking it slow. We took plenty of water and lunch to have up at the top. Round trip took around 4.5 hours for us, but could probably be done in much less.
