HikingGreat!

This was closer to 9.5 for us, but still a beautiful hike with so many great lakes to take in!

Mostly uphill to the pass but worth the view. Elevation is 10k so good place to train for high back country.

We went all the way down to Duck Lake and camped at the south point. That ended up being just under 10 miles. The climb towards the end, right before you see Duck Lake, is hard and has minimal shade, but worth it.

Backpacking

That final climb is tough for a heavy pack. Lots of people on the trail.

Awesome trail, pretty challenging but if you take it slow it'll be fine. About 20 minutes in was the hardest part, with another hard part right at the end gaining elevation, but worth the view.

Great trail with several lakes to stop and enjoy along the way. Be sure to leave a bit early to beat the heat on the switch backs section. Views and breeze make this a trek I will definitely come back and hike again

First to Review

The Lake and mountain background was gorgeous! The trail is really nice as you go from lake to lake. First Emerald Lake then, Skelton Lake, Barney Lake, Duck Lake and last Pika Lake! The trail is moderate with the hardest part coming up the rocky ascent before Duck Lake and the steep ascent coming back from Pika Lake after that your good and can treasure the incredible memories and experience. I would be back for a farther hike and camp out there and explore further for sure!
