This urban trail offers stunning views of downtown San Francisco. Much of the walk is through residential neighborhoods, but has several quirky or beautiful stops along the way including Kite Hill open space. From there, get a gorgeous nearly 360 degree view of San Francisco. At the top of Kite Hill, look straight down Market Street all the way to the Ferry Building. You will be provided with views of the bay, Twin Peaks, Sutro Tower, and Corona Heights. Stop along the way at the Corwin Street Community Gardens and make sure to bring cardboard if you plan to take a turn going down the concrete Steward Street Slides. This trail can be done in either direction and is also highly recommended at night for spectacular views of downtown in lights. (Note the slides are closed after 5pm and all day on Monday). If you want more of a challenge, continue on up to Twin Peaks or check out the rest of the Upper Market Stairways.
