Note: As of July 2019, the Dool Trail is CLOSED. Please check with the park page for more information. Where Meteor Trail meets the Skyline to the Sea Trail, take a short trip left to see a waterfall. This is right after the "slippery rock" part.

Part of Dool Trail is closed off currently. So that adds about a mile or so. It’s closer to 8 miles total. Has a little bit of everything like sun, shade, inclines, & declines. A great day hike.

Sequoia trail with many people heading to fall. Meteor trail is quiet with redwoods. Ocean view summit vista is fairly nice but biting flies.

Beautiful trail. Some open areas with no shade. Lots of bugs. Make sure to go to the ocean overlook toward the end after Meteor trail.

Different terrains. The meteor trail is awesome! Very light traffic and you can hear your echo in the dense redwoods. Dont expect a great ocean view from the top though

Awesome, for my first time hiking far, this was fenomenal, I do have to say that I was expecting more things from it but its still turned out great, i loved how relaxing and easy the trail was, i would totally recommend this trail and will definitely hike it again

Went "the right way" according to park volunteer up Dool and down Meteor. Beautiful hike through serene redwoods! The park was not busy on a Friday morning!

Nice trail, pretty muddy at the moment.. depending on where you park you may do start at an odd point

Hike was very enjoyable. Typically go with my hiking crew, but had to do this one alone. Very quiet, and the scenery was amazing. Trail was very muddy and slippery considering the weather, but overall, great hike! I’d definitely do this again

A wonderful trail. We were able to do the Dool trail even though some fallen trees blocked the path. Instead of doing the Sequoia trail towards the end we added in the Shaded Brook trail which was really a great idea (of the volunteer ranger). This add on meant we missed the road and walking though the camping sites. The shaded Brook trail is like the beautiful Meteo trail only a bigger canyon and creek.

We added a little on at the front of the hike by doing the Creeping Forest Trail which adds about a half mile to the distance. The results of recent winter storms blocked our entry back onto the Dool Trail so we ended up taking Gazos Creek Road around to Middle Ridge Fire Road and extended that leg. This resulted in another half mile added on to the hike. After that, smooth sailing. Had lunch at the ocean view but was only able to see the rain clouds. Beautiful anyway. Got down to Skyline to Sea Trail and brought it back to Park HQ instead of Sequoia Trail. Time was running out. Had a great time.

Beautiful hike with some great views from the top and along meteor trail. Sequoia trail was closed due to a landslide.

Beautiful hike in the Redwoods. Pro’s: a lot of secluded moments amongst the gigantic trees. Cons: the last two miles were on a trail right next to the main road into the campground, where you go through a lot of campsites. Would definitely do the hike again - note that the first two miles are pretty straight up a hill. There is quite a bit of steep downhill miles 3 and 4. The whole hike is super well marked. Also well shaded. Don’t really need sunscreen but would recommend mosquito repellent!

Great redwoods hike. Not too difficult, plenty of paid parking. The drive to the parking lot is narrow and windy but would definitely do again.

Very nice trail. We made it clockwise and wasn't bad. It is more like 7.5 miles not 6.1 but we didn't really care. Combination of dense shade with sunny portions on top, sequoia, just bushes, something for everyone. No ocean view as it was lots of fog over it.

Meteor trail is amazing! Thick damp forest with banana slugs and wild mushrooms.

The Middle Ridge is a fire road but the forest is gorgeous and it was fun to climb out of the Redwoods into a completely different ecosystem on the ridge. Geologists will enjoy the ridge for it’s unusual rock formations.

Very good hike, but following the map provided by park is real horrible rather just follow the trail signs.
