Diversion Dam Trail is a 2.2 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Santa Cruz, California that features a river and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.
Follow the San Lorenzo Trail to the north via the Diversion Dam Trail. The cool waters and shady groves are pleasant on a hot summer day.

Not a loop, not way to cross the creek , not trail at the other side of creek either
There were quite literally two or three or even five diversion dams here - lots of fallen trees in the last 12-24 mo this means too much debris to follow the trail. We gave it a good try, turned around a few times to retrace our steps, but couldn’t figure out how to make the cross over the river. Regardless, it was beautiful terrain and truly moderate level - mossy, slippery, and at some times steep and scrambling.
