A pretty chill hike. There isn't a whole lot of elevation gain (only some hills, and mostly going to Stanford point and back up), and honestly not a whole lot of scenery until you make it to the rim. Once at the rim, the views are phenomenal! You start off going through the lovely McGurk Meadow, and during the right time of year the wildflowers and butterflies are everywhere! You also walk through a beautiful patch of Corn Lillys. Theres a lot of change in scenery which makes the hike more interesting. Dewey Point has a great view, but if you came all this way then you must continue on to Crocker and Stanford Point for unique views of Bridalveil Fall. One of the best things about this hike? the lack of crowds!! As far as YNP crowds goes, this trail was virtually a ghost town! Be sure to look for snow plants along the way!
