I would recommend this hike it was definitely fun walking threw some steams and heavily shaded tree areas and over boulders. What was really nice was hearing the stream all throughout the hike. The map says it is 9. Something miles but it was actually about 11 miles if you count the mile or so from parking area. What I didn’t like that had nothing to do with the actual trail was people carrying around their loud ass speakers with music along the hike. I understand you like music but I prefer driving far away to get away from loud music listening to nature (river, birds, quietness, nature). I was also really sad to see so much litter and trash along the trails. Next time I hike this I will definitely bring a bag to pick up after people who are so totally disrespectful to this beautiful place.

Really fun trail. Most of part is overlap with East fork trail to bridge to nowhere. But just keep staying along the river. The water is shallow now so you can treat it like the narrows. Just keep walking and you will see a small branch coming down from left (west). Just walk on the river (yeah, it’s actually easier than bypassing it) and you can reach this super big and beautiful waterfall. You will also see a long rope at the side which will bring you to the top of waterfall. But it’s quite dangerous so not that recommend

I love this place. I used to go here with my dad about 10 years ago when i was a kid. We climbed up to the top of the waterfall with grappling hooks and left the first ropes up the side. I've been visiting every few months for the past couple years. It gets very cold during the winter so make sure you have a well ventilated tent when camping here in the sub 20 degrees. Otherwise it's a beautiful place that is difficult to get to if you dont know what you're looking for. I'm planning another trip up there in July 2019 to find the natural spring that feeds this waterfall. It appears to be another 9 miles to the end of the treeline. I'll post another review after with my findings. If anyone needs a guide or specific directions, let me know @ jarrettlarson97@gmail.com

You can only go about a mile until there is a big river crossing. It was to swift to pass had to turn back.

A superb waterfall tucked in Devils Gulch! The whole gulch has a cool tropical feel. Be careful for poison oak! Also, if you climb up the rope to the north, you can get to the top of the falls which has a super cool natural pool right at the edge of the falls! It's difficult to find, but well worth it! Look this up on google maps, I dropped a pin exactly on the falls: 34°16'49.0"N 117°45'15.0"W

Could be a complex hike, but altogether worth it!

This is an extremely hard trail, but completely worth it. The waterfall was amazing! We got lost a couple of times and we ended up doing 14 miles round trip. If it wasn’t for the miners we never would of found the trail that leads to the waterfall!
