A foot of packed snow at most. Snow shoes were overkill. Yak trax or even nothing perhaps would suffice. Beautiful but too quick.

Well maintained and great views. The altitude knocked us out pretty badly though, made 2 miles feel like 10!

Hiked this on 5/13/19. Fun ride up on Aerial tram. Temp in the high 50's range once at Mountain station (temps down in Palm Desert were high 80's). Nice easy hike. Stop at Notches 1-5 for big views & photo ops. Lunched at one of the picnic tables then took the tram back down. Nice way to spend a couple hours. Would take the tram again & do some of the other trails from Mountain station.

Loved this trail.. you can make it easy or hard depending upon how much climbing you want to do at each of the scenic notches. Was a bit overcast and so conditions perfect for climbing. Beautiful views.

great views! snow added some extra difficulty, we probably should have gotten snowshoes. Trail wasn't very clearly marked due to the snow. Families with small kids or beginner hikers may want to wait until snow thaws. would love to come again in spring or summer.

Was the only trail open due to the snow. Short trail with great views of the valley below. Glad we went up on tram, winter just isn’t the time to get any good hiking in.
