pretty low key. no one else on trail. definitely a few nice views.
Good short hike with some elevation and views. Not worth a long drive, but great if you live in the area.
Nice leisurely walk of a trail. Pretty views and "cairn city" was an unexpected little surprise.
DO NOT PARK ACROSS THE STREET FROM ANOTHER CAR!! I thought I would try this trail again, still just meh. But also came back to a broken mirror and some scratches on my car door. A neighbor said it could have been the construction trucks, but didn't see anything. He said is happens every so often because the street is super narrow. Trash cans are also out so I guess it could have been a trash truck. Anyways, lesson learned.
This was a nice trail, contrary to what the top reviews made me think. It’s a pretty consistent with some steep parts and some flat parts. There are some cool rock statues (I added one at the top) and lots of dead(?) trees. It’s short and sweet and the views are nice going up! Street parking only. The entrance is a small path between two driveways.
Seems like a well used mountain biking trail. Two separate groups of bikes passed me which caused some issue as the trail is not wide. There is clear evidence of mountain bike jumps at the top that seem to have washed out. As a hike, it was just ok. Hastain Trail (has a lake), Franklin Canyon (also has a lake), Getty View (much better view), or Fryman Canyon (better maintained trail) are all much better choices.
Good trail!! Nice little workout. The trail head is hidden between two houses with no sign, so keep your eyes open!
Nice quick sometimes steep climb with nice views of the valley.
Nice hike with the hounds this morning! The trail head is between two houses and reading parking signs is a must! Trail is quite open to the elements and would have been tough if the sun was shining, as it’s quite steep in parts. Don’t think I’ll go back due to the narrowness of the trail, with three dogs on leashes it was a bit precarious coming back down hill on the return trip. My old knees will feel it tomorrow due to the inclines, but some nice views though.
Awesome trail. The way back through the neighborhood is nice but another 30min and sections that don’t have sidewalks and could potentially be dangerous but lovely nonetheless
