Hiked to Russian Lake. Loved the views on this hike. Started off in the afternoon right on the ridge line with great 360 views. Went through some old forest fire burns which was a little spooky but still cool to do. The trail was a little overgrown in some places (got stung by a bee walking through it) but easy enough to navigate. Saw some bear scat but no large wild life on the trail or at camp. Accidentally went to Waterdog lake trying to get to Russian lake. Take the right at the fork and approach it from above. No real trail to get there, just a field of boulders you have to cross. Lake was a beautiful blue and very refreshing for swimming. Did a day hike up the peak (go around the backside-no real trail again once you start going up but worth it) and made a side visit to another lake. This one is a gem-would do again.
