Excellent views and nice scenery. As of July 5, there was no waterfall at dawn falls (too dry). Really enjoyed this hike, though there are a lot of trails and I did go a route I was not planning originally. Agree with comments below that suggest starting counter clockwise, it is a bit steep in the beginning. A bit crowded at the trailhead as well. Paths are narrow in some parts. Shaded by redwoods for a majority of the trail. Lots of lizards. There are no bathrooms - I used the public restrooms at the town park beforehand. Recommend parking 0.5 miles away on the side streets, the closer you get to the trailhead the harder it is to find parking.

Pretty challenging at times but really beautiful and nicely shaded. A little bit crowded but manageable.

It was pretty today! First time I’ve been here, I brought my dog. The trail was very nice and had enough shade. No waterfall or water though. Just some baby baby creeks.

Mostly shady except for about a mile of the hike. Only at the beginning and end of the hike did it get crowded. Highly recommend parking on a side street

One of my favorite hikes. It starts out relatively easy and then you have a steep climb upwards. The only issue I had was combing back down with the loop, it was much more difficult than I had anticipated. Steep climb down and lots of loose dirt and gravel. We ran into another company who was equally having troubles moving down the trail. Beside that, the views and trails were beautiful.

I loved this trail! Difficult for the first mile because it is straight incline, but the rest is very doable. Mostly wooded with some areas of no shade. Pretty views and beautiful redwoods

Very beautiful hike, fresh air, smells amazing, redwoods. View of the bay at the top. There is section at the end which is very slippery when going down.

When you drive here it is a tiny road in a really nice neighborhood, use the All Trails directions and drive all the way to the dead end. There are a few parking spaces in the neighborhood. No bathrooms. I went counter clockwise with all the uphill done at the beginning, then flat. Lots of options for more hiking.

We returned to do this hike during wet season. Awesome! The stream was flowing and everything was covered in a bright green moss. We like the steep uphill half way through that gets the heart pumping. There’s also a number of other trail options to extend the hike as we did. There’s limited parking (neighborhood) so you might have to walk a little.

Great hike. I'm glad we had cell service or I think we would have gone off trail pretty easily. The last part of the loop is a steep decline that will leave your thighs a little wobbly.

Very nice! Limited street parking. Most of the trail is in the woods, although at the top there are some more open stretches with fabulous views. On your way down, don’t miss the Barbara springs trail, it’s easy to just walk past it and leave the loop. Some steep parts, and also a pretty little waterfall. Creature sitings: woodpecker, spiders, other hikers, and bikers.
