This is a dirt/gravel road trail that starts at the Bailey Bridge and ends at the Mill Flat campground. It is 2.7 miles from Bailey to Mill Flat and 5.4 miles as an out and back. The trail runs next to the river from beginning to end. There are two campgrounds with basic amenities(outhouse/firepit).

MILL FLAT TRAIL 5.4 Miles AS AN OUT AND BACK Dirt Road No Trailhead Sign No Reception(Alltrails location worked) Free Swimming (Kings River) No bugs Minimal Shade 2 Campgrounds on trail Area used for Whitewater Rafting Out Houses This one was OUT THERE. Very few people other than rafters. There's nothing on the way, on the trail or on the map that says anything about "Davis Flat"(that I saw). Recommend maybe changing to "Bailey Bridge Trail"(Starting Point) or "Mill Flat Trail"(Turn-around). The surrounding hills aint much to look at but the river is pretty cool. There's a small beach about 100 yards give or take from the turn around. Good place to take a break and ice your dogs. It was pretty hot the whole time so that was nice. We did this trail as an alternative to the "Pine Flat Trail" because that was underwater. Its about an hour drive from there. If you have kids this is the only trail out of the 3 at Pine Flat Lake that I would recommend doing. -DB -KB

dirt road follows south side of the Kings River. nice camp grounds and not heavily occupied.. caught a small mouth bass. not very safe when water is high and fast like right now.

me and my family enjoyed this trial, well worth the drive and nice weather and beautiful camp sites along the river.

They recently went through and graded the **** out of it. Its a nice trail, none of the obstacles it had a month ago (which I was both happy and sad to see...the obstacles made it a little bit more entertaining). As of right now, the ground is so soft from the equipment that you can lose traction in some spots, but its like nothing.
