off road driving
First and foremost, don't expect a big waterfall. But it is a rewarding hike, especially in the middle of a desert like landscape. There is considerable rock climbing and slick and slippery rock terrain to navigate. But it is worth it.
Nice trail. The water from Darwin falls wash is used in Panamint city. The plumbing that you hike beside is a bit of an eye sore and a little distracting from the scenery, specially since it leaks in various spots. But other than that it was a pleasant hike with a great payoff at the falls.
Excellent trail, does have a good bit of rock scrambling and stream hopping at the end to reach the falls but totally worth it!
