Dog friendly. Great views and lots of sunshine. I put out a blanket and relaxed while my dog swam and explored.

Beautiful area, with some shade. The lakes are beautiful and wild. A nice place away from the crowds. We did it early July 2019 and the lakes were not dry yet.

Great down hill from summit to the reservoir.

Easy hike. Not a lot of shade and the trail was mostly loose gravel. The lakes are small and we did not come across anyone else hiking the trail. Had some complaints from my twins about the heat even though this was a short hike for us.

This is an easy trail to hike, but for us, was not so easy to find. Curtz Lake had actually dried up for the season, so we ended up driving way too far - all the way to the reservoir down the road. This trail is a nice way to get off the more common hikes in the area such as Sierra Canyon and Faye Luther.
