The hike was fairly easy. We did a 5.4 mile loop of Dean-Crystal springs trail that took us about 3 hours. There’s ample space for parking. The park has good space to picnic as well along with sand volleyball courts. Makes for pleasant and non-strenuous get-away in the woods.

Plenty of parking, trailheads are very clearly marked. Not very busy on a cool Saturday afternoon. 90% shade. Be careful of closing time! Park closes at 5 and any vehicles who haven’t left will be cited

Wonderful trail in the trees. As always, great signage in San Mateo county parks. Cool and gorgeous. One of my favorites.

Walked trail counter clockwise. Trail intersections clearly marked. Good footing throughout. Moderate elevation changes thru steady amount of switchbacks. No real sweeping views at the top. Backside mostly steady downhill. Took about 90 mins to complete.

Beautiful hike. The last 1-2 miles was along the road and parking lots so I could recommend parking as close to trail head as possible to optimize the actual hike

Trail was pretty crowded, especially at the beginning and end of the loop. Everyone wore masks, which was great. You’ll be greeted with an Incline either way, which means it doesn’t matter which way you go.
