Not really an off-roading trail. Nothing more than a dirt road.

Running

Nice trail run on a Saturday. It's more of a dirt road, but can get rocky and there was a tiny bit of mud in one spot. After the first 1.5 miles, there are more trees and the scenery is beautiful. Probably because it was a weekend, there were lots of off-road vehicles and dirt bikes. If I did this trail again I would drive up the steepest/least shaded part in the beginning and start the run farther in, as there is a parking area about 2.5 miles up.

Great trail, avoid at all costs late-March if you are off-roading without at least 15inch ground clearance and some mud terrain tires. Our LandCruiser with 10inches and all-terrains couldn’t cut it and we had to get winched out. Will definitely be back in the late summer.

I enjoy this area quite a bit. It's tough to compete with Tahoe trails, but this area does quite well. You will see other people, but not crowds. I was also able to see a handful of deer and a bear. It was a great day!
