Rattle snake sighted right at the entrance. Pretty nice walk with a small amount of inclined parts.

Only recently discovered the group of trails in this area (before signing up for AllTrails - RIP my steps!), and loved it immediately, but will have to stop due to mosquitos. Even with bug spray I'm a target and the bites just aren't worth it. So saddened because this is such a beautiful hike! For those still interested, these trails are very popular for cyclists, so be conscious and courteous to let them pass. Enough inclines and declines that it provides a challenge, but is not too strenuous. Many trails converge on each other so there are many options to choose from.

This was a well kept easy trail. There's some up and down, but something just about anyone could manage.

Good hike in the morning before the fog burns off. Trails easy to follow. Lots of forks for different loops and mileage variations.

It’s a gorgeous trail and the fog keeps it cool with amazing views. We cut the trail short because there were TONS of mosquitoes. I didn’t know that there were mosquitoes in this part of CA. We sprayed our legs to keep ticks away and to our surprise we were covered in mosquitoes the whole hike. Also, we’re newbie hikers and like the inclines to be at the beginning of the hike, this one has some surprise last minute inclines at the end. Not terrible, but a warning for other newbies- save some uphill energy for the end. :) The beauty of the place make it a 5 star hike but the bugs dropped it to a 4.

Absolutely gorgeous! But I was bitten by mosquitoes 52 times...yes 52...most were through the long pants I wore so just a caution to double up with layers and bug spray!

Nice easygoing trail! Did this one with mama Lori. Not a whole lot of incline, uphill action, or tough terrain. Mostly walking out in plains and under a shaded wooded area. Loved it for a nice day!!

Always great to be out in nature. Lots of quail, wildflowers. The Monkeyflower was blooming everywhere. Not a lot of variety on the trail but great vistas. At one point the trail winds into a ravine where there were, what at one time must have been, many awe-inspiring ancient oaks. Sadly, they all now look to be dying which makes for a rather spooky section of the trail.

Too many ticks. Perhaps since immediately after a rain.

Crespi Trail is a nice hike with beautiful views of Los Osos, The Sandspit, and the Estuary. It is a well developed trail and is well maintained. It is an easy hike with only a few uphill climbs. The terrain changes from meadows to a small forested area. I would recommend for anyone. The only problem is the parking situation. It is hard to find as there is no sign and the parking lot is very rutted.

Hiked 8/14/07. Nicely graded and well-maintained trail with good views of Morro Bay. Very well marked and intersects with other trails for a longer hike.
