Beautiful (and easy) hike. Truly amazing meadows, sequoias, and history. This is a must if you're in Sequoias National Park. Take the shuttle to the Crescent Meadows Parking Lot, bring a lunch, and enjoy some of the most pleasant views around!

I highly recommend taking the bus 1-way to Crescent Meadow, then hike from Crescent Meadow to Sherman Tree (or vice versa). This will save you from spending 1 hour taking 2 separate buses between Moro Rock and Sherman Tree. Along the way you can see 2 meadows, and a peaceful environment with very few people in between Crescent Meadow and the Congress Trail.

i saw deer sleeping and eating among the giant sequoias, and a family of marmots including babies who had made a den under a giant sequoia.

This is a really short hike. The trail is well maintained. People usually come out here during the snow but if you're out here during the spring or summer, it's beautiful and green. There are plenty of animals for you to enjoy in this area. Every time I have come to this little meadow I have seen some bears. So be careful.
