We parked on the street in the residential area on Crags Rd (state park parking lots closed). Modified this hike- started east down Crags Rd, then turned right/southwest up Bulldog Motorway, then another right turn on Lookout, then back down to the car for a nice loop hike of about 2.5+ miles. Bulldog Motorway was really beautiful, with some tree covering and a small creek crossing near the start, then quite some elevation gain coming up out of the canyon and up onto Lookout. Overall, really scenic with nice views and great wildflowers. Not too difficult. All of it is two-track, so plenty of space to distance, but honestly on a Saturday at 2pm we only passed about 4 other hikers.

CENTURY LAKE & ROCK POOL ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED! AS OF 5/19/20. Parking fees ($12.00 all day, $3.00 per hour) are still being charged (despite aforementioned closures). The upper parking lot is closed too. I do appreciate that all of this is delineated on their website (I should have looked before coming) but I do think they should charge reduced parking rates during this time. My understanding is that Century Lake is the highlight of this trail. The ranger made it seem like although the trail was open, it wasn't really worth it without seeing the lake. And if I'm paying the parking fees, that seems like a waste. CURRENT INFO: https://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=614

Crowded - trail gets very narrow after about 1st mile, several groups unaware of hiking etiquette and overcrowding these sections with few places to pass

Nice short and sweet trail with some cool things to see along the way! Goes right by the M.A.S.H. site about a mile in, and once you cross the river there’s lots of trails that branch off of the main one. Tons to explore! Definitely super easy. Felt more like a nature walk than a hike. Not much of a workout but beautiful views and nice to see the river! Giving it 5 stars because it met everything I needed from a hike today - views, water, relaxation.

Lovely trail. Fun to see the remnants of the old MASH site. Hike was marred only by an extremely discourteous group of horseback riders galloping around and past hikers.

Just two spots that smell like open sewer lines but great views and solid 4 miles.

Beautiful scenery and if you look closely you will see wildlife.

Very crowded on a Saturday. Spent too much time standing to the side for people who are unaware of trail etiquette.

Nice trail tucked away in Malibu Lake neighborhood. Street parking on the side of the road at the corner of Crags Rd. and Lookout Rd. Trail leads you past MASH filming site and Century Lake or Century Dam depending on which path you choose.
