This loop features two very steep sections, one involving loose scrambling. In between the steep sections, you will pass some small cliffs or "spires." About half way through the loop, the trail that links the two ridges can be somewhat overgrown. Views are great, especially during spring when the grass is green. This trail is great for an off-the-beaten-path experience. Very few experience the hills back here.

def be prepared with good trail finding skills. and preferably long pants. i came here to do a trail run but there were lots of overgrown sections and a few loose decents and steep overgrown ridges. pretty intense but was rewarding! be careful. dont reccommend when wet. there was lots of scat, wonderful blooms, and lots of birds and bugs! do a tick check.

Nice quick afternoon / evening hike. Good to get the blood rolling with the steep sections. Always nice solitude here, very few people ever come back to these trails unlike more popular trails around Simi.
