Very beautiful trails, but there are many bikers some of who don’t care hiker, keep high speed and run at the center of the path. Be careful!

I loved this trail so much, it's one of my favorite mainly because you hike alongside the reservoir for a good 1.2 miles, there's something about water that grounds you. The color of that lake was a pristine cyan with hues of turquoise. I went off trail and found a spot on lake front to pause for a quick picnic, definitely worth a stop to take in the lake view before moving on. The open meadows and rolling hills were spectacularly stunning. Bikers also love this trail so expect them. The incline in the beginning was gradual and steady and the trail conditions are well kept. If you're looking for a trail with waterfront, this trail is for you!

Great trail. Easy difficulty in terms of inclines and declines, moderate difficulty in terms of length. Mostly open space with some patches of shade. Not too many bugs or hikers, mostly mountain bikers.

This trail was very breezy and not difficult at all. Not much hills and mostly flats with part shade and part sun. There are no view at the rest point, but a picnic table where you can sit. Be careful of bikers as they are many of them flying down the hill.

Great hike, good amount of elevation. Went with my dad who can’t do steep climbs. Good hike, nice views, good combination of shade and sun.

First to Review

Wide, well maintained trail with minimal elevation . Took my two dogs and had to keep pulling off to the side because there were so many bikes. Only a few other hikers and trail runners early on a Saturday morning. While I did enjoy this hike, I will probably not return to this part of Calero. The new entrance invited a lot of people with no outdoor etiquette. I have never seen so many people walk wherever they want, ignoring all trails. I saw this mostly on the half mile up and around the smaller loop both times I've been here. Extremely disappointed in people using this space.
