The 1st time you visit korigan vill you might spend more time reading the signs and exploring the history of the place than actual hiking. So plan to come back once you're familiar with the with it and do some more serious hiking. It's very cool.

Fascinating movie history here. Takes about an hour to do the loop, more if you wander the old movie set and TV show ruins. All shade after 6PM in summer. Saw lots of rabbits, baby lizards, and as it got dark, bats and a coyote. Parking lot closes at dusk.

fairly easy loop with several off-shoots. dry and hit or miss with the shade. interpretive trail has nature plaques with some interesting info, as well as plaques with info from the areas' use in "the industry" ( if you are an old Western movie fan, these are fun). several of the plaques are severely sun bleached and another difficult to read through the graffiti. one off leash pooch (it was okay, the owner was carrying the leash). BTW: port-o-potties in parking lot and rotary camp and water fountain and rotary camp.

The actual elevation of the trail is not bad—it’s the fact that the trail itself (the loop one) is so horribly overgrown. I got around halfway and decided to just turn back how I came rather than finish the loop. Lots of those prickly plants so do not even attempt this if you’re not in long pants. Follow the map because there are tons of different trails.

Found what has drawn all the people to Corriganville Park. There is a very nice bloom of wildflowers on the east side of the park. Lots of families out enjoying a beautiful California spring day. There is also a bloom in the western side of the park. Not as many flowers but far fewer people. There's a pass between the hills and this bloom is on the west side of the pass on the western slope of the hill..

It's spring break somewhere. There were lots of families and groups of young college or high school age females. The parking lot was unusually full for a Wednesday, and the ages of many of the hikers would have them in school unless they're on break. This wouldn't be my first choice for a hike if I was in the kind of shape these young people are in. So much of the area was burned in the recent fires and this area has very little evidence of fire. Still the burn areas are all green with new grass growth so I'm not sure that's an explanation. It is a nice area for easier hikes and perhaps it's just close.

This area has a lot of options so if doing this trail specifically just watch where you are going. It is a nice trek not to hard. Trail has a little over growth right now from lack of use after the fires. Really prettt view of the valley though. Will do it again. Reminded me that there is life after chaos with all the new growth and charred trees:)

My dog and I had a lot of fun except some areas had a lot of glass so I had to pick her up at times. Great besides that

Super easy trails. Great for dogs too. The recent fire has made a HUGE impact here, so much burned. Very sad. Hopefully the movie era history and legacy will remain.

this is a nice, easy loop trail that offers plenty of variation if you want a more or less challenging hike. Good for all ages and fitness levels.
