Hiking trail was correctly evaluated as “easy”. However the trail was covered in over growth. Lots of coyotes in the early evening. Oh and watch your step, lots of dog or animal waste on the path.

June 25, 2020 From trailhead good and a little overgrown to the end. No markers so recommend having app/map open On way back going to the “left” is HORRIBLE. I had to walk my bike through the bushes for a half mile. (Got lost a couple of times). VERY cut up from thorns. Verdict: Do not recommend to anyone unless you stay on the trail you came. One plus, I saw no one else.

It was really overgrown and it became hard to see the scenery. Easy trail for sure. Long pants and long sleeves are super helpful.

Be careful of foxtails if you have a dog... ours came back covered in them. Scary. Otherwise beautiful views & not busy at all. Is a bit overgrown.

This trail would be good if half of it wasn’t basically impassable. Trees hang low over the main path, very buggy, and I drew the line when there was a gigantic cobweb with huge spiders in the middle of the trail- clearly nobody has been through this section in a while. The first half is great and pretty pleasant overall. Would only recommend hiking through the first half.

Trail is mildly interesting in the west loop. The other half of the loop is very over grown with lots of spiked plants. Definitely wear pants if you are doing this one.

The Cobin Canyon trail is fairly level. The connector to Winnetka Ave. Trail is easy to miss. If you see an old car in the gully, you've gone too far. There are open and shaded areas with some wild flowers and sage still around. The connector trail is steep and and over grown much of the way, but once you find it, still obvious. The Winnetka Ave. Trail is a nice hike, again with open and shaded areas and ends up at dirt Mulholland. Of course you can take the easy way and just start at the end of Winnetka. Watch out for Poison Oak.

After the first 1/2 mile the trail is completely overgrown. First portion is nice. Don’t recommend wearing shorts.

I enjoyed this hike, even though it was very overgrown. The rope swings and car in the more forested area were neat. I took the (even more overgrown) trail up the side of a hill and got onto Winnetka trail, which was more difficult, but the Corbin Canyon trail itself would have been a very easy hike had it not been so overgrown. Not busy at all, I didn’t run into anyone else during the early morning.
