Description
Waypoints (0)

Sequoia National Park charges a fee to enter. Fees are $35 per vehicle or $30 per motorcycle. If you are entering on foot or bike the fee is $20 per person. You can also purchase a park specific annual pass for $70. This is a beautiful trail. It's a very short walk and you can see most of the sequoia trees. Accessibility: This trail begins at the same handicapped-accessible parking lot/shuttle stop that the accessible General Sherman Tree Mini Trail begins at so it avoids the staircases, but it continues on a longer loop. This route is paved/boardwalk with a moderately steep grade. All-terrain equipment or assistance may be needed due to the steep sections. Some wheelchair or stroller users may be able to continue along the Congress Trail past this loop but caution is suggested due to there being several areas of grades above 12%.

It was good. Felt long. Had trouble with staying on trail due to snow but made the way.

We visited the trail in December, it is a beautiful trail. It's a very short walk and you can see most of the sequoia trees. Note: If someone is visiting during winter (at the time of snow) I would highly recommend traction chains for shoes, the snow becomes ice and it gets quite slippery

General Sherman portion is very crowded with Instagram babies. Congress trail is better and still an easy paved trail. The meadows trail was lightly populated and much more peaceful

Nice hike with paved roads. A little crowded for my liking though.

We absolutely loved this hike. This was a top ten hike for me and my family. The giant sequoias and incredible views were made even more spectacular since we had most of the trails to ourselves and we had perfect weather.

Paved so feels less like a walk in the woods than a museum of trees

WalkingGreat!

Between COVID-19 and the recent wildfires, we had the park practically to ourselves. For that reason, it was an experience of a lifetime! Yes, it was smoky, but not that different from a busy campground in the mornings.

This trail isn't an official trail of the park but an AllTrails trail combing a bunch of different official trails into one giant loop. For this reason it would be good to reference this app while attempting this every once in a while. This trail is long but very gorgeous and serene. It never gets too steep for too long and has a total of about 40 minutes of no shade. The rest is very easy and relaxing. High altitude even if it doesn't feel like it so drink lots of water and bring a snack. Also bugs flying everywhere. Fun trail though and would recommend it!

Good tour of the large trees. Most of the uphill coming back is going to Sherman so it’s not much more in elevation change.
