Really nice singletrack for the entire route, nothing very technical. Partially shaded. Significant climbs and descents, but they were always short. Love the changing scenery. Enjoyed it and would do again! I’m an intermediate mountain biker with moderate fitness and the whole route took me about 3 hours.
First time mountain bikers, took the kids (11 y.o.’s) and we made it to Stampede and back. Only took us 5.5 hours total. Some hairy rocky spots and some steep runs. It was really fun, and the trails were well maintained. No snow left, and the trails were dry. Other bikers were rude and would run you off the trail in a heartbeat. There were a few joggers, but the majority of the trail was visited by mountain bikers. We will definitely do this again!
Well maintained trail, easy to follow. Slow but steady up/down hill with a lot of flatter bits, a few places were a little rocky but nothing too bad. Lots of mountain bikers and a few trail runners, no other hikers. Made it about 4 miles in before deciding to turn back. Meh scenery, not terrible but not breathtaking either. Seems great for mountain biking, but there are better trails around for hikers. Would maybe be a good trail for beginner hikers looking to break in their bodies/gear.
Nice trail, well maintained. Nothing technical and a good workout. It's easy to hit your speed comfort level on the downhills. No water spickets along the trail; I got water at the campground near the North trailhead.
Hiked from the start on Alder Creek to Prosser Creek and back, 14.50 mile round-trip. Very beautiful along Alder Creek with lots of water. Crossed Prosser Creek on Hwy 89 because creek is very high. There are quite a few trees down at the start along Alder Creek. You can clamber over or go around.
