If you are looking for a nature trail, it’s not the best place to go, as you can mostly see residential areas and hear the hustle and bustle from the 5 freeway. But, if you live nearby and are looking for an easy/moderate hike to a decent ocean view, I would recommend it.

I love this trail. It is extremely dog friendly, there are dog bag stations and trash cans located along the hike. The views are great. Parking is easy because there are several different places to access the trail and parking is free.

could see and heard the noise from I-5 while hiking, steep hills, no shade, ocean view at the end. I’m not doing this again.

I loved this trail! Some nice steep hills to get your heart rate up, friendly people and their dogs. Overall it was a great morning hike

Dont kid yourself on the moderate. Good hill run. You get done with one you round a corner and theres another. Steeper than the last. 1/2 mile in your smooth dirt road stops and that crater line down the middle remains the rest of the way so your running/ walking on slight slope. Half is shady- the first half. Good for hill repeats but felt intrusive for the homes that are backed right to this trail. Good views though.

It was nice but very open to the sun, behind a neighborhood and you can see I-5 below at parts
