This was an easy hike to do. However, beware of tarantulas. That kind of ruined it for me. So if you're afraid of them, this isn't the hike for you

It’s a nice hike at the beginning because it starts off as a forest, but then it becomes open with nice views. This hike is infected with squirrels so every little noise you hear is them scaring you. The last half of the hike is full of little bugs flying all over you. Short but the steepness makes up for it. Great for beginners and kids. Once you reach GMR street, you’ve reached the end of the hike.

Parking is free and about 4 spots right at the entrance of the trail. Best bet, park near the tennis courts so you don’t bug the neighbors with your car. Plus it’s extra 5 min walk to get started.

Tackled this trail about two weeks ago and honestly despite its easy rating it’s not as easy as it’s described it’s a pretty steep uphill climb from beginning to end but not bad

Fun little trail for beginners, be prepared for a little bit of surprise uphill at the beginning though! Glad to finally have checked this one off the list.

I love this trail because There are different trails and it's all up hill so you get a good workout also there are spots that overlook all off San Gabriel valley, Orange County and west...

Nice hike

Very fun and scenic. A portion of it was closed, probably due to fire damage. From what it look liked it leads to Dalton trail. I only hiked to the tree near the edge of the cliff at the top and back. About a mile round trip.

Great quick hike. Saw 6 coyotes on the other hill across from me and a man and his dog standing 20ft from them... Kinda got scared after that but the rest of the hike went great

My husband and I love this trail! It's a quick workout, with a good incline, and the views are beautiful. Parking can be a challenge, as it is in a residential neighborhood, but all in all it's a great hike.

Good hike if you don't have much time but want to get a quick workout in. I did it before the fire and it was pretty, unsure now.

Easy and wide. Gets sort of crowded during peak times, but nothing that isnt manageable. Many of the local sports teams use it for workouts (they run up), and youll often see equestrians. Main downside is that parking is in a residental area, and some areas are pretty tight.

this is a quick and easy hike right outside of Glendora. Great views of the city. Once you get to the top, I'd recommend taking the Colby Dalton trail down to the dam. It's a beautiful quite forest hike.

Colby is a nice easy trail up to GMR, but head up the road and around the corner Upper Colby starts. Upper Colby runs a little over a mile more all the way up to Glendora Ridge Motorway, for a total distance of 1.5 miles and almost 2000' elevation gain. The trail is very steep and loose in places and looks daunting, but if I can do it so can you.
Stretch the hike out on the fire road you can take it a short distance to GMR or go the other way to Glendora Peak and Garcia trail.
Very lightly used. I only saw one hunter on Upper Colby going up and 3 daring bicyclists going down.
The steep parts going up are just as steep and hairy going down. I recommend poles.
This was just as good a work out as Garcia with no parking hassles and no crowds. I recommend it highly.

Beautiful trail, all wilderness, river stream, wildlife, perfect... Not too hard pretty easy for parents and their kids. The only down side when we went was the trail exited at the U-turn of GMR so we had to walk along side the road back to start of the trail.
