Cogswell Marsh Trail is a 6 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Hayward, California that offers the chance to see wildlife and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.
Connect to the San Francisco Bay Trail, this section of trail is nice and flat and is perfect for jogging or biking.
Mostly flat good for bike riding running and beginning hikers since there is nearly no incline. Close to the San Mateo Bridge. Nice to see the birds soaring over the water. No shade so if it's hot wear a hat...nice sea breeze adds resistance to your workout and adds to the experience. Better than I expected initially you have to walk deeper through the trail to get to the water views.
Nice quiet trail. Lots of birds and bay/marsh views.
I enjoy this trail by the shoreline. Its not that crowded and I can sing without embarassment.
