Mostly paved road. Very difficult to find parking

This trail was perfect for families. You see plenty of views and wildlife. The portion I went on was paved, which was awesome because I used a double stroller. Everyone on the trail is friendly and the ladies at the Francis Beach visitor center are happy to provide information about the trail and park. Only thing I would change is to have actual clean bathrooms nearby.

Great views, pretty private and not heavily trafficked. Minimal elevation and easy walk.

Started at Seal Cove Inn, bicycles supplied by the inn, 21 miles out and back to the Ritz Carlton. Lunch at Ketch Joanne at the harbor. Some riding on road along the airstrip, nice coastal dirt trails. Foggy am , blue skies afternoon. Overall nice ride, trails a bit crowded and don’t like the road much

Would definitely recommend. If you’re walking I’d go off the main trail at least occasionally to do the bluff hiking— the main trail is more biking.

Lovely view, super easy. And great place to have lunch on the beach afterwards.

Dogs are definitely allowed on the bike path on a leash. There were many, many dogs and clear signage. Not sure why it says no dogs. Maybe the last mile? If you want to bike with your kids or have a stroller age child, this is a great bike path and deserves five stars for that. Good for old people or young kids, or if you just want a small town nature stroll. It isn’t a hike really. But the paved path is of excellent quality with lots of wildflowers and views of half moon bay houses with intermittent views of the ocean. Walking down the path to Miramar and eating at the Miramar Beach restaurant could be a great family day out. Bikes and dogs on leashes allowed. More of a bike path than walking path but good for walking too.

parts of the trail are very beautiful, for most of it you can only hear the ocean though, not see it, and there's a part that goes right by a very busy road. almost everywhere i walked it had both paved and unpaved paths so you can choose so it's accessible which is a plus

Very lovely nature trail along bordering the Pacific ocean/Half Moon Bay. The trail connects a series of beach parks. The trail is easy but poorly marked, there was literally no wayfinding. We spotted a hawk, numerous finches, rabbits, field mouse and more. Loved the wild nastursium vines and crocus in bloom everywhere

Easy trail and good view. Sparse Pokémon stops and gym. Good way to relax yourself in the late afternoon.

We loved this trail! We were able to watch hawks and sea birds as well as seals.

Easy walk along the coastline. Stunning view. Highly recommended for those who want to relax and chill on the beach over the weekend. In addition, I found the asphalt trail boring so I took several small narrow trails close to the cliffs to enjoy the view and the breeze.

This is a great biking trail for a hot summer day. The wild flowers are beautiful attracting multicolored butterflies and hummingbirds!

I did single track biking and I had a great time but realized that it was a very short ride. Wish it would be longer.

Definitely allows dogs on leash the whole way. Great low grade and very well-managed trail if you want to clock some miles and be by the ocean pretty much the whole time. Can get pretty busy later in the day.

From a hiking with children standpoint this is a fantastic trail. There are several parking lots in the area and each appears to have bathroom facilities. The trails are well maintained and a mix of dirt and pavement. The nice thing here is that you are never far from beach access or any of the smaller walking trails along the bluffs. This is great when the kids want to choose their own adventure. As of this writing the fee to enter and park is $10.00.

Easy and pleasant and much of it is along the ocean. You can detour to one of the beaches, although half moon bay state beach is quite crowded.

Nice easy walk on paved trail. Takes a bit to get to the ocean, but it is a beautiful site.

I loved this paved path along the ocean. Restrooms were available along the way. Today was a cold, bright sunny day, perfect visibility for ocean viewing. It would be fun on a bike as well. A great trail, however flat, to get outside for some fresh air, exercise and views.

Good trail for family with kids. Flat path with ocean view but isn't spectacular.

Five stars simply for the view not really the hike. I lived near the RItz for a few years and would do a combination of the trail and the beach. On a nice low tide you can walk the entire distance on the beach or there are a few places you can go up and down to the beach and trail to change things up
