This trial is awesome. Has some challenging sections, but you can stick to the main fire road to be safe, just make sure you pay attention, towards the middle/backside there is a trail that looks like it’s main, but ends up being very difficult (hell’s highway) you’ll need a 3” + lift and some big tires (35” +) to clear these boulders

Great trail. Difficult in some spots, but we made it through the whole thing. Highly recommend.

great trail, bit muddy and started snowing pretty heavy today. some parts get pretty difficult even with the right vehicle. 04 tundra limited 3" lifted. I would day 2 or 3 parts where it got hard and had to think of my path, rest wasn't too hard for my truck. there was an abandoned vehicle stuck around the middle of the trail. window smashed and items tossed on floor. would not recommend to vehicles without 4x4 and regular vehicles. I have new falken wildpeaks and I was drifting every now and then.

Amazing scenery! The trail is easy to navigate but also you can choose to go through difficult sections. High clearance vehicle is a must. High traffic during the weekends so be aware of incoming traffic. Keep the area clean and stay on the designated roads please.

Nice views if Orange County. Definitely an easy trail but still fun. Very crowded so look out for traffic.

Views and all that is nice but I like the fact that the road is kind of technical. I say “kind of” bc if you have a lift you should be good but if you don’t...you should be an experienced driver. I helped roll guys back on their wheels and squeeze thru tight gully’s. This road can be challenging if you take the right fork...and there are lots of forks.

Nice trail with a lot of side road options. Nice view of the lake at the end. Moderate to easy road. High clearance a must. Watch out for speeding side by sides.

OHV/Off-road drivingGreat!

Writing review bc this trail is awesome and also I did this with 18 Chevy Colorado (2in level kit and all terrain tires) and my truck did fine. If first time to trails and have 2wd don’t recommend this trail unless with someone. Be careful with the offshoots but over all stay on main trail and amazing views and time

This trail is OK, but is over crowded on the weekends, the basic trail is a bit rutted, mostly just a fireroad. Walk the off shoots if you have not done them. Some of the offshoots are easy and some are not. Watch the last one heading towards the lake, Hell’s Highway is not easy at all. Accidently got commited and had to go through it, lucky there were some good people to walk me through. Lot of two wheel action, tipping and slipping, scraping and drops. to Jesus and the gentleman that walked me through thank you.

Took my Jeep JK and a friend joined me in his Nissan Xterra on Friday. We both have low lift kits and 33’s on our rigs. We drove mostly the fire road on the way up the Cleghorn exit and attempted a few easier offshoots as we approached the summit since it was our first time here. The trail roads were rutted due to weather and it made our drive a little more challenging. Definitely not too easy and somewhat moderate at times. There was a Jeep trail group and two dirt bikes plus an atv on the trail. Glad we went on a Friday and not on a weekend. Overall, it’s a good learning experience for 4x4 novices. We did not attempt Hell’s Highway so make sure to turn left when you reach the punch bowl...LOL
