Cleghorn Ridge OHV Road: Highway 138 to I-15 is a 14.5 mile moderately trafficked point-to-point trail located near Hesperia, California that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for ohv/off road driving and is accessible year-round.
Fun trail. The main trail on here is just a fire road so not very technical, but there are a lot of offshoots for which you definitely want to know what you're doing and have some clearance and good tires. Trail on here start from east to west, but we decided to go the other way. probably the best decision.
great trail, you getting some of everything basically. the fire road it self is fairly easy but will require 4x4 is some sections, a lot of offshoots the will definitely require 4x4 and clearance. the fire road is not so wide, we notice very fast that all the drivers start from I15 highway and finishing on 138, we basically follow the app and started at 138 and finished on the I15 which was little disappointing because we were driving against the traffic basically.. great trail though, took about 2.5 hours.
The trail is super fun but can get technical in a few places.
Fun ride. Usually when AllTrails rates a trail as 'moderate', it's pretty easy. This wasn't excessively difficult, but a good 4x4 with some clearance, a little skill, and some patience is required to make this run. Lots of ruts and rocks on the main trail just to keep it interesting. Also, if you want something more challenging, there are a ton of offshoots along the way, some of which are brutal.
Decided to run this in my stock height 2020 Subaru Crosstrek. It’s totally passable but be prepared to get some pin striping while hugging areas that are super deep. Rocky most of the way, very rocky in some spots. Overall was rough, long and one of the less enjoyable trails I’ve been on. Also, it says the trail is 14 miles. It feels a lot longer than that it suggests. Completed in 2.5 hours
Nice fireroad trail. Good for 4x4 and SxS. Not too bad for dirtbikes. If you are a first timer and want to know what the trail looks like here is a link to my video: https://youtu.be/3KY9girUpMg
Fun road. Rain did a number on the trail recently, lots of erosion, ruts etc. Great run in a stock 03 Tundra 4WD.
Great trail. Drove it with my stock 2019 4Runner TRD Pro it handled the trail great. Looks like the winter rains washed out pieces of the trail. During one part of the trail a boulder hit my predator tube step and bent the step in the rear passenger. Other than that the trail went off without a hitch.
Decided to turn my crosstrek(stock height w/Yokohama geolander g015 AT) around. She handled the trail without a hitch, but without a lift I didn’t want to risk running into an area I couldn’t handle. Trail was beautiful, especially after the winter snow. Will definitely come back once my Crosstrek is outfitted better.
Started by Lake Silverwood and came out onto the 15 freeway. Did this whole trail in my stock Crosstrek. Some tricky spots but got through them. You’ll be fine if you have anything lifted. Super fun trail! Would definitely do it again!
