This hike was...OK. No signs to give you assurance you are on the right trail. The trail is an old narrow road making for a speedy hike, less than 2 hours, with time to take some photos and grab a snack. Probably better as a snowshoe trail as previously mentioned by another hiker.

Did this trail with snowshoes . It was worth the hike, view of Clark mountain range is awesome. I have a relationship with Merced Peak, so if you take this hike, summer or winter, you'll see some ancient glaciers that John Muir , wrote about and was taken by the glaciers and the beauty of this part of the Sierra Nevada.
