The Clarikia Trail exists for one reason - to get to Inspiration Heights. Spectacular views (SF Bay/Mt. Diablo/Mt. Hamilton to the east; open grasslands and the skyline ridge of the Santa Cruz Mtns to the west) have to be earned by hiking up a short but steep 10% grade.

Great hike for kids or elderly, but for more serious hikers it’s def not the coolest score out there. Lots of foot traffic and noises...there are beautiful views though! 4/10. Also - beware of moldy poop on the trails. Idk if dogs are allowed but it certainly looks so.

Wildflowers are abundant in quantity and variety, particularly on the Sunset trail portion. Views at peak are great.
