Wide trail with lots of hikers on a Saturday morning & a few bikers. 4 Porta potties at the trailhead. Another on the trail, and a number of benches along the way.lots of rangers at the bottom checking for masks, but on the trail, only 1/2 or fewer wore them. Parking at both lots was full when I arrived before 7:30. I drove a mile away & parked at Vail Park, but I could've sat there & waited for someone to leave. Parking permits required on residential streets, so that's not an option. There's another park nearby that may be closer. Signs are clear on the trail. Beautiful weather & temps in the 50's today, perfect for hiking.

Wide fire road the whole way. Great weather today, but if it’s warm outside it would be really hot. Nice views. Parking is $7 on weekends.

I absolutely love this trail. Its pretty steep at some points so be prepared for a good workout, but the views and peacefulness of it all is so great. So relaxing and tranquil.

WalkingFeeGreat!

Fun and simple! A well maintained trail that's perfect for walking, running, or biking. If you want to avoid crowds definitely come on a weekday, but even on weekends the trail is open enough to enjoy. Since it's a loop, you'll be going uphill regardless of where you start. If you want more shade and a moderately harder incline, stick to the right, following the Cobal Canyon Trail.

at the two-mile mark on the right side incline I almost quit! But, I was overly challenged enforced some resilience into today. I made the whole trip

Pretty good 5-mile loop. If you want a good workout, go up the east side of the loop first for the hardest assent. Bring lots of water though as there is no shade.
