Quite interesting stop during the drive through Joshua Tree N.P. There is a LARGE field of cacti on both sides of the road. Really LARGE.

If you are planning other hikes in the park then not worth the drive but if you are not a hiker it is a nice flat path to experience.

It’s not really a hike or trail, it’s more like a walk around the cholla cactus garden. It’s beautiful and unique. Worth the drive to the outskirts.

Great to do- not really hiking more of a stroll but fascinating.

It's a cool place to add to your JT visit. Wouldn't call it a trail, since you just park your car and wander around. It was worth my 40 min extra drive to and from this place, since the basin is beautiful in itself!

This is a walking path. It is definitely picture worthy but I wouldn't spend much time here as there is much more to see around Joshua Tree. The best time to come here is in the spring when the wild flowers are blooming, however watch out for bees and bugs. For pictures of this trail and many more, follow my Instagram @Nathan_vanengen

Easy stroll around what looks like thousands of Cholla. Be careful as they will latch onto anything. Signs at parking lot warned of bees in area, but we saw none. Nice stroll to break up the drive through the desert.

Short trail, but interesting to see. Not worth driving to if not in the area, but if driving by, I would stop to take a look.

Great little nature trail with a lifetime's worth of cholla, and more! Great for photos

Really short, basically flat but very pretty. The long drive there was the best part ... we timed our arrival with the sunset and had charcuterie and salad and took videos. Def recommend driving out with the desert sunset ... it was beautiful.

Not really a hike, more of a short walk. Very cool walk though, plus the drive south through the park is beautiful.

Would have been very cool to see the cacti, but I guess bees overrun it in the summer months and it wasn't even safe to get out of your car without being swarmed by them.

Really easy hike to see these beautiful cacti! Loved it!

Normally these are annoying when hiking, but it’s cool to see them in such abundance.

Normally I'm not big on nature trails but this was a pretty cool, impressive one. Amazing to see these beautiful cacti up close in such abundance. Also, the drive in from the north park entrance was absolutely break taking and surreal!
