Some steep areas and not a lot of shade. We saw a baby rattlesnake, rabbits, lizards, ravens, some pretty yellow birds that I can't identify. Not too much blooming, except for the encelias looking like cheery yellow daisies. Not very many people on a weekday morning, even with spring break. The view at the top is quite a panarama, though it was hazy today, I'm sure that on a clear day, you could see the ocean

we had a good time there's all kinds of trails off the main Fire Road and we just did about a Four Mile trek because it looked like it was going to rain

More crowded than expected on a weekday afternoon. Not everyone was wearing or attempting to wear a mask either. The start up the Descanso trail was steeper than I remembered. That’s on me. We parked between the entrance to Descanso and Padres Trail so we could make a loop and come down the Forest Hill exit. A little easier on the knees.

Disjointed feeling trail. Not a bad trail, by any means. I could just never find the rhythm of it. Trail is plenty wide for social distancing. Lots of street parking.

HikingGreat!

The trail has some decent incline at the start/end, not a walk in the park. Trekking poles are helpful in the steep areas. Most of the trail is on a dirt roadway. This was my first time up to the fire tower. Just ok views today because of the cloud layer, on a clear day the views would be spectacular. Good views of La Canada and La Crescenta along the trail and also downtown Los Angeles.
