Cheatham Grove Trail is a 0.6 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Carlotta, California that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is best used from March until October.
About four miles west of the visitor center, the ancient redwoods of Cheatham Grove stand among redwood sorrel. The beauty of this grove — named for Owen R. Cheatham, founder of what would become the Georgia- Pacific Plywood and Lumber Company — inspired Cheatham to spare the trees for others to enjoy. http://www.parks.ca.gov/pages/421/files/GrizzlyCreekSPFinalWebLayout2015.pdf
