nice leisure ride today with Duke and Majico.

nice ride with Lala, Ed and buckaroo. Duke found his fifth gear and flew up a hill like he was young teenager again. all the work and rides have really paid off for him.

great day riding Duke at the Indian rock and a little extra. Duke did really well even gave me a little canter.

Nice desert trail - there are many intersecting paths, so be prepared to either go off course (my selection) or use your map throughout. Fairly exposed / very little shade. Bring water. I saw a handful of mountain bikers but otherwise it was pretty lightly trafficked

Great trail with many options to choose from. Lots of incline /decline. Pretty lame. Cool history. Good for kids. Bikers not allowed so nice surprise.

I've been to Calavera many times, but never parking on Cannon road and going on the southern loop. The southern trails were generally quiet with little traffic, particularly once getting away from Cannon road. Some of these trails were scenic with flowers blooming and a tree covered creek area. There was also a less interesting portion with gravel and a ~4 foot rattlesnake crossing the trail (near Sage Creek HS). There are many alternative trails, so the AllTrails map is helpful.

We started in the church parking lot - highly recommended if you’re looking for a more quiet hike. Decently tough in some areas. Depending on which trails you take, it’s easy to make it as difficult or easy as you want. Trails in the app are very accurate. Saw a coyote in the middle of the day, so be sure to keep your dogs close.
