It was awesome! Although definitely not easy from where we started at would look for a much easier trail for those who need it.

The views were nice but there were many off shoot trails and had we not continually checked in with maps we wouldn’t have been able to follow the loop.

Not bad, pretty cool spot for a dog walk or a nice trail run. A bit hard to follow and overgrown in parts, but overall a pretty simple hike with decent views.

Hiked to the top of a volcano. No big deal. Great view at the top!

Some parts west of the summit are very rough and not maintained.

Not that great. Good workout due to incline but very overgrown in some parts and trail is not well marked. Impossible to follow unless you have the app open. Wouldn’t do again, there are better trails.

Hiking

Don’t bring kids on this trail really steep and rocky. Also there’s a portion where you skirt the side of a cliff. Great for adults and some bigger dogs. Not good for toddlers below 5 years old or strollers.

Nice trail and you do the highlands around Calavera Lake. You will do 3 peaks and a moderate hike all around with a spectacular views from the top Calavera hill (inactive volcano) No shade so bring 1 water bottle and you will complete in about 80min

Nice area for a hike. We called it easy to moderate. Ended up losing the trail, but there are numerous trails off of the main.

Lots of trails that go many different directions. Most of the trails have erosion in the middle from water run off. Beautiful views of the lake from on top.
