This was a great way to spend my Saturday morning!

Easy parking and good overall loop especially if you go to the top with the water tower for some decent views. Can be a challenging running course.

Great hike for being local, a few rattlesnakes so keep your eyes open, I always run across someone I know, some shade but great early mornings or after 6.

This is a good daily or weekly hike, especially for those who are a little more afraid of nature. If you do the full hike and take it down to Newhall Ranch Road back up bouquet, you will get 5 miles in!

Nice exercise loop. For a little extra workout and view of SCV valley, take the spur up to the water tower.

Good exercise loop. I walk through the groundskeeping parking lot, then behind the baseball diamonds and main parking lots down to the basketball courts for a full walk.

I see people on this trail all the time when I am at this park and it looked basic...which is why I chose it to do my first night hike. Well I should have paid attention when others say this is not really a loop. You hike one trail till you find what looks to be a steep old firebreak. Then follow a series of use trails till you make your way to another established trail for the return. It is steep and somewhat confusing, but manageable...unless you are in the dark. Verdict-I had a blast, but not everyone's cup of tea

Not a loop so much as two different hiking experiences. Walking the loop clockwise, the first part is a relatively easy uphill walk on fire roads to the water tank; after that, it becomes something of a scramble down some fairly steep grades. The first part is dog-friendly, the second part can be challenging without a well trained dog.
